I went through some of our old newsletters and found these gems. Recaps of gigs we did in 2010. Take a moment and skim through, the memories are awesome!

Rick's Chophouse - 31st December 2010

A quiet evening turns into a one hell of a party! From Dinner Hour to the Final Hour and New Year Countdown, Bare Bones was the center of attention. Amidst a packed room of well-to-do patrons, the Bones played nearly their entire repertoire with some surprises thrown in. To start, the usual essential classics developed into boisterous sing-alongs with the entire house becoming one singing force. One very special quest, Bobby G, joined the band for some 50's classics such as "Bye, Bye Love" and "Rock Around The Clock". Much to the crowd's amusement. Winding down the year with "Auld Lang Syne" the band was recommissioned to play "Sweet Caroline" as an encore. Joining in were the crowds of party-noise makers in time with the song. It was an unforgettable evening, and an amazing end to an amazing year. See ya in 2011!!

Sambuca 360 - 5th December 2010

Welcome to the new expansion, now known as "THE BONES". Returning to Sambuca 360 as a 5 piece, the group introduced Lou Canakes on drums, Scott Thorp on vocals, and Wade Campbell on bass. It was a successful combination that will open many new venue doors to The Bones. Bare Bones will continue to play all your favorite essential classics, and The Bones will handle larger venues accommodating crowds for lively parties and dancing. In either format, you can be assured the music will remain with the highest standards of industry entertainment. The music YOU want to hear. Join our fanclub, and don't miss out on any info about new events.

Sambuca 360 - 12th November 2010

A last minute booking provides the Bones and fans an impromptu gig at a prestigious new club. A stage build behind the bar, supported by a world class sound system and dazzling lighting was a warm Sambuca welcome to Bare Bones. For 3 cozy happy hours, the music was the center of attention. It was a packed house, with people flooding in from the cooler autumn weather. The band quickly made many new friends, including 7'6" Calvin Lane, the door man and wonderful human being. Photos and additional Sambuca performances coming soon.

Rick's Chophouse - 15th October 2010

If you missed this Rick's appearance, you missed a momentous debut evening with the Bones. For the first time, drummer Lou Canakes joined the Bones with his cajon box drum to set the groove. As a surprise, Paul performed a Sinatra dedication for a very special anniversary couple. This night, many members of the Bones family were in attendance, including Paul's parents and Jeff's mom. (And in tow, her group of friends, the "Saintly Seven", alternately yet affectionately dubbed by Jeff as "Hell's Grannies") And once again, the band pushed the musical frontiers with an impromptu unplugged rendition of Play That Funky Music. Oh, those wild and crazy Bones!

Delaney's - 11th September 2010

A taste of Ireland and the Bones in the heart of Fort Worth, Texas! Delaney's Ft. Worth granted the Bones a fantastic welcome, and the music was enjoyed by all. It was their first appearance in Ft. Worth and quite far from home...proving the Bones will travel anywhere necessary to spread their particular brand of acoustic melody. Delaney's is an amazing Irish Pub & Restaurant. Worth a visit even if just on your own. The staff are kind, speedy, understanding, and really know how to treat their customers well. The food is delish, and the drinks are superb. Remember to tip the band, and you might get bonus rarites returned like an impromptu acoustic cover of Journey's Don't Stop Believin'. Yes, it can be done. Really! Like a menu, the Bones are making more and more choices available to YOU.

Agave - 4th September 2010

Expanding the repetoire to meet your entertainment needs. Another beautiful evening lakeside at Agave attracted many passers by who then decided to stay for Bare Bones music! There were many song requests from Segar to Redding, which the Bones then obliged by playing. Also, some new requests from Petty to ZZ TOP (?). Ok, if you like it, the Bones will find the way to pull it off. It's what they do. So look for some new additions to the already abundantly stuffed songbooks! ;) At Agave, the guys tested a new rhythm section concept by inspiring a group of clappers. Thank you, Wild World girls, for the help. It was a successful experiement! Looking forward to the next Bare Bones appearance!!

Last Chance Saloon - 7 August 2010

The league of Boneheads is growing. The Boneheads, affectionately otherwise known as the fans, united under one roof at Last Chance Saloon. The duo performed to a packed house and featured Scott Thorp again on vocals and percussion. With an entire audience joining in on the singing, several of them, who were members of the 1987 PSHS Choir, stepped onstage to create a sing-along like no other. By the third set, it was raining money on stage, literally. This was an event you had to attend to believe. Stay tuned for future unique appearances you don't want to miss.

Agave - 24 July 2010

Agave seems to be our "hot spot". Jeff and Paul endeared a crowd of fifty plus to the sounds of classic music. Both the boys enjoyed the infamous fish tacos, with a crowd ravenous for more. Look out for the future, the Bones are hot, and taking a hot crowd with them everywhere they go. On a side note, there were no ominous falling umbrella attacks this go around, just a tree that seemed to represent the roots of music being played for all. No wounds here. Just a stone of happiness well embedded in the WALL OF ROCK!!!

Loft 610 - 24 June 2010

Mr. Paul Gandolfi, aka pBone, made his debut solo appearance with Lou Canakes supporting on the cajon. It was an intimate performance for a captive audience. Classic songs were sung by all as Paul led the round with voice, piano, and guitar. Future variations of musician combos are likely in future, as Bare Bones has joined the ranks of artists from 300 Music Artist Group. Check out their website for other musical ensembles sure to entertain you. It's all about the music!

Agave Tapas Grill - 5 June 2010

On the hottest day yet of the year, Bare Bones heats up lakeside in Rockwall. For 4 hours, the outside patio was entertained with classic hits ranging from the Beatles and Van Morrison, to the Verve Pipe and Gavin Rossdale. Bearing the heat with the band was a fully packed deck of listeners, a gathering crowd of passers by and even the youngest dancers. With plenty of cocktails and the amazing fish tacos, the night was complete at Agave. It was an event not to be missed. See ya at the next one!!

Rick's Chop House - 27 May 2010

On a special night scheduled for Jeff to appear solo, another surprise Bare Bones performance occurred. Paul joined in for several songs, and also Scott Thorp for a few more. The core vocals of Element 6 were present and performed 3 part harmony as part of a special guest segment. Word is quickly spreading of the talent incorporated here.

Last Chance Saloon - 5 May 2010

Bare Bones made a semi-unannounced appearance in the Plano venue. Playing as part of an evenings worth of local artists, the guys test drove some new material to the delight of a packed house. These types of random appearances are likely to happen again in the near future, as the band is preparing for it's grand debut. You never know when you may spot an impromptu performance unless you see and read about it here.
